Mass Book Awards

The Massachusetts Book Awards recognize significant works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, translated literature, and children’s/young adult literature written, illustrated, or translated by current Commonwealth residents. Submissions open each Fall and close at the end of the calendar year.

Letters About Literature in Massachusetts

A Commonwealth-wide personal and reflective writing initiative sponsored by the Massachusetts Center for the Book. The program invites students in Grades 4 through 12 to read a book of their choice, reflect on it, and write a personal letter to its author, explaining the impact this work had on them.

Reading Challenge

Do you have a cozy reading corner you’ve been wanting to spend more time in? Do you have a group of friends who like to select books together? Maybe a little constraint helps you choose what to read next.

Mass Literary Events Calendar

Discover readings, fests, panel discussions, and author storytimes across the Bay State. Cultural organizations, bookstores, and libraries are encouraged to submit.
